He had kept them a secret for years, and years, and years, and had married a woman and had children with her, even though his preference for men was an (unspoken) source of conflict in the marriage.

Now he has "come out," but instead of leaving her, and instead of saying that his feelings are something to be embraced, they are going to try to make the marriage work honestly and faithfully. It was a mistake for him to marry her without telling her his problems, but they are bonded together, and they have children, and they're making it work, and they're one of the bravest couples I know.

I'm in the position where I also have homosexual desires (and not any heterosexual ones). It's very difficult being celibate, but I couldn't marry a woman at this point without it being very unfair to her. Funny thing is, I don't feel brave for not having sex, and it's tough, but there are things in life much tougher.Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15232291579882899350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17160917.post-19764315963357960442009-12-22T21:29:44.441+00:002009-12-22T21:29:44.441+00:00Is this blog post a hate crime?

I read Alf...Thanks for this straightforward stuff. I read Alfie's biography last year. Great rugby player, but the book is a tiresome read. Full of pointless stories of his excessive drinking. And his sexuality is hardly breaking news in Wales.Martin Downeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08019053545918223050noreply@blogger.com
